Nobody Knows is a folk band from Stendal founded in 2001, drawing members from Stendal, Halle (Saale), Magdeburg and Tangermünde, with frontman Max Heckel as the primary composer. Their debut surfaced with a series of early recordings such as The Dancing Tree (2003) and Meet the Irish (2004), before gaining national attention through the 2008 program Lyrik im Anzug. Signing with Prosodia in 2014 marked a turning point, yielding the award‑winning album Kleinstadtrhapsodien and later the 2016 winner Urbane Camouflage, which earned multiple Deutscher Rock‑und‑Pop‑Preis honors including Deutscher Country & Folk Preis and Publikumsliebling. They released Folkslieder (2017), Ja, sehr gern! Gemachte Erinnerungen (2019) and Struwwelpeterlieder (2023) while touring extensively across Germany, earning the Stendal Kulturpreis in 2018.
