Nine Stones Close is a British progressive and neo-progressive rock band formed as a solo project by multi-instrumentalist Adrian Jones in Leyde, Netherlands, in 2008. The name of the group is derived from the standing stones found in Derbyshire, England. In 2008, the band released its independently produced debut demo, St Lo. Jones subsequently recruited members to expand the lineup, releasing the follow-up album Traces (2010), which was entirely produced and mixed by Jones. For the third album, One Eye on the Sunrise (2012), the project transitioned into a full band featuring Brendan Eyre, Marc Atkinson, Neil Quarrell, Peter Vink, and Pieter van Hoorn. The band released the album Leaves on May 13, 2015, but has been inactive since 2014.
