The Autumns were an American indie rock band based in Los Angeles, California. Formed by childhood friends Frankie Koroshec and Matthew Kelly in 1997, the group released their first EP, Suicide at Strell Park, through S.B. Music, and album, The Angel Pool, through Risk Records, that year. Their second album, In the Russet Gold of This Vain Hour (2000), was recorded with Simon Raymonde of Cocteau Twins. After Risk Records' collapse, The Autumns released works like Le Carillon EP and their self-titled album (2004) on Absalom and Pseudopod Records, respectively. Their album, Fake Noise From a Box of Toys, came out in 2007, before the band quietly disbanded in 2008.
