Jonas Aslaksen, known professionally as Jonas Alaska, was born on April 3, 1988, in Åmli, Norway. He is a Norwegian musician and singer-songwriter who studied at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts from 2008 to 2011. His breakthrough came in 2011 with his debut single "In The Backseat" and his self-titled album, which peaked at number 5 on VG-lista, charting for 24 weeks. In 2012, he won the Spellemannprisen award for "newcomer of the year." His subsequent albums include If Only As A Ghost (2013), produced by Kjartan Kristiansen, and Younger (2015). Notable releases also include Fear Is A Demon (2017) and Roof Came Down (2020).
