QTY was an American indie rock band from New York City, formed in 2014 by Dan Lardner, Alex Niemetz, Peter Baumann, and Alan Yuch. After disbanding their previous band Grand Rapids, Lardner and Niemetz recorded demos that caught the attention of Dirty Hit Records, leading to a signing as their first US-based act. QTY released their debut single "Rodeo" in October 2016, followed by "Dress/Undress" in February 2017, both produced by former Suede member Bernard Butler. Their self-titled debut album QTY was released on December 8, 2017 and earned critical acclaim, including a spot on the NME 100: 2018 Best New Bands List. The band's final shows were held in 2018. Dan Lardner passed away on June 15, 2023.
