The Primary 5 was a Scottish pop band from Glasgow, formed in 2003 by Paul Quinn, who previously played with Teenage Fanclub and Soup Dragons. The group released their debut album North Pole on Quinn's Bellbeat Music label. In 2006, they signed with Re-Action Recordings for their second album Go!, which received critical acclaim from Allmusic. Their third and final album, High Five, was recorded at Leeders Farm in Norwich and released in 2008 via Neon Tetra Records. The band disbanded in November 2010, with Quinn releasing a retrospective compilation titled Revive – Demos & Rarities – 2001-2008. Both North Pole and Go! were re-released on vinyl in 2017 by Sugarbush Records and Pretty Olivia Records respectively.
