Spiritual Kvintet, a Czech folk band, was formed in 1960 by Jiří Tichota and others. The group quickly established itself as a significant figure in Czech music culture. Their breakthrough came with the release of Písničky z roku raz dva (1972), which marked their early success. Throughout the 1980s, Spiritual Kvintet released several influential albums, including Šlapej dál (1986), which sold over 130,000 copies and became a cultural milestone in Czech music history. The band continued to release notable works such as Every Time I Feel The Spirit (1986) and Hallelu (1991). In the 2000s, they released albums like Křížem krážem (2005), showcasing their enduring relevance. Member Dušan Vančura passed away in April 2020. The group ended its activities with a farewell concert in 2021 in Prague.
