Witchthroat Serpent, a French doom metal band, was formed in Toulouse in 2011. The group released their debut album Witchthroat Serpent in 2014 through Deadlight Entertainment, Zanjeer Zani Productions, and Emetic Records. Their second album, Sang Dragon, followed in 2016 via Svart Records, Hellas Records, Urtod Void, and Deadlight Entertainment. The band's third studio album, Swallow the Venom, was released in 2018 by Svart Records. In addition to their full-length releases, Witchthroat Serpent also put out a single titled "Striped Dragon" in 2017 and a split album with Dead Witches called Doom Sessions Vol. 666 in 2021 via Heavy Psych Sounds. The band performed at notable events such as the Hellfest in 2015, further solidifying their presence in the doom metal scene.
