K. Leimer is an American electronic musician and composer born as Kerry Leimer in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized as ambient and experimental. Leimer established the label Palace of Lights (1979) with Dorothy Cross and founded the ensemble Savant. His recording career includes the debut studio recording Fiction/Decade (1979). His discography includes the studio recordings Closed System Potentials (1980), Land of Look Behind (1982), and Imposed Order (1983). After a period of inactivity between 1983 and 2002, he released the studio recordings The Listening Room (2002) and Brittle Soft (2002). His recording career includes the compilation A Period of Review (2014), which features original recordings from the years 1975 to 1983.
