Heathen Beast is an Indian grindcore trio from Mumbai. The band consists of Carvaka on vocals and guitars, Samkhya on bass, and Mimamsa on drums, all performing under pseudonyms to conceal their true identities. Their debut EP, Ayodhya Burns, released in 2010, was limited to 200 hand-numbered copies on CD and available as a free download. The band gained critical acclaim with subsequent EPs such as The Drowning of the Elephant God (2012) and The Carnage of Godhra (2015). In 2015, they released their compilation album, Trident, which compiled songs from their previous EPs. Heathen Beast continued to release notable works including "Fuck All Religions, Equally" (2019) and the album The Revolution Will Not Be Televised but It Will Be Heard (2020).
