Lovestation, a British electronic dance music group formed in 1989, was founded by Vicky Aspinall and co-produced by David Morgan. The group initially gained attention with their independent releases on Fresh Records, which they established in 1992 specifically for their own Lovestation releases. Their early singles "Shine On Me" and "Best Of My Love" became popular in clubs, laying the groundwork for their future success. Lovestation's breakthrough came in 1995 with the re-release of "Love Come Rescue Me", which charted at number 42 on the UK Singles Chart. This release marked a turning point in their career, drawing significant industry attention. The group achieved even greater success in 1998 with their cover of Womack & Womack's "Teardrops", reaching number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. Another notable hit from that year was "Sensuality", which peaked at number 16, further cementing Lovestation's presence in the UK music scene. In 2000, Lovestation released their debut album Soulstation, which compiled many of their 1990s hits and solidified their status as a prominent electronic dance music group. Gospel singer-songwriter Lisa Hunt also contributed to several Lovestation records, adding depth to their musical output.
