Robert Plane

Robert Plane is a British clarinettist. In 1992, he won the Royal Overseas League Music Competition in London. Plane performed with numerous orchestras, including the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, and the BBC Symphony Orchestras. He became the principal clarinetist of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in 1999. Notable performances included a live broadcast of Rossini's "Introduction, Theme and Variations" (2004) at The Proms in the Park on BBC. Other recordings include Quatuor Pour La Fin Du Temps (2008) and Clarinet Chamber Music (2014). He taught clarinet at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
