Dillon Fence was an American rock band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Formed in 1986 at the University of North Carolina by Greg Humphreys, Chris Goode, Kent Alphin, and Brooke Pitts, they initially performed under the name The Magoos before changing to Dillon Fence. Their first release was the album Dillon Fence in 1989. In 1991, they signed with Mammoth Records, releasing the album Rosemary the following year. Outside In was released in 1993 and marked a significant rise in their profile. Living Room Scene followed in 1994 and became their biggest commercial success. After demos for a later album were rejected by Mammoth Records, the band disbanded in 1995. They reunited briefly in December 2000 for a three-date tour and released the live album Live at the Cat's Cradle.
