Sorotan Bele, a rock music group from Fuenterrabía, Guipúzcoa, Spain, formed in 1992 when three high school friends began playing guitar together. The band's initial breakthrough came with the release of their self-titled debut album Sorotan bele in 1992, which sold 25,000 copies and established them as a notable act in the Basque region. In 1994, they released Mundu Hegian, further solidifying their presence. That same year, composer Mikel Errazkin ceased performing live due to health issues but continued contributing compositions. Their final album, Jon-en kezkak, was self-released in 1996 with a limited run of 5,000 copies. Sorotan Bele disbanded after their last concert on November 30, 1996, in Irún. In 2020, founding members Gorka Sarriegi and Urbil Artola revived the group's legacy with "Sorotan Bele Gogoan," a musical spectacle featuring orchestral arrangements of Sorotan Bele’s songs, which has since been performed across the Basque Country, Navarra, and southern France.
