Flamingosi was a Serbian-Montenegrin pop-folk duo formed in the summer of 2005 by Serbian television presenter Ognjen Amidžić, who performed under the stage name Renato, and actor Marinko Madžgalj, who performed under the stage name Valentino. Emerging from television and theatre backgrounds, they combined folk, rock, and jazz influences to produce their debut studio album, Razum i osećajnost, in 2005, which gained them mass popularity. In 2006, they released their sophomore studio album, Gordost i predrasude. The same year, they collaborated with the folk jazz singer Louis to participate in the national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, Evropesma, with the song “Ludi letnji ples”. Although they finished in second place, a dispute over the voting process prompted the withdrawal of Serbia and Montenegro from the contest. Their subsequent releases consisted of the studio album Prljavi igrači (2011) and the two-part album Seti se našeg zaveta, with the first part released in 2011 and the second part in 2014. Following the death of Madžgalj from pancreatic cancer on March 26, 2016, the duo disbanded as the group ceased to exist.
