Body Void is an American sludge band founded in 2014 by Eddy Holgerson and Willow C. Ryan. The band originally formed under the name Devoid. They released their first demo, I, in 2014. They changed their name to Body Void in 2016 and released their debut album Ruins. Ruins was recorded at Earhammer Studios and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. They released the album I Live Inside a Burning House in 2018, which gained praise for its emotional authenticity. In 2019, they released the EP You Will Know the Fear You Forced upon Us, which explicitly addressed themes of fascism, marginalized groups, and societal issues. Their subsequent album Bury Me Beneath this Rotting Earth was released in April 2021.
