Country Teasers were an art punk band formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1993. The band featured Ben Wallers and long-time members such as B.R. Wallers (vocals, guitar), Leighton Crook (drums), Robert McNeill (guitar, synth), Alastair MacKinven (guitar), and Sophie Politowicz (bass guitar, drums). Their early albums were characterized by literate, satirical lyrics and discordant sound. Country Teasers' debut album The Pastoral - Not Rustic - World of Their Greatest Hits was released in 1995 on Crypt Records. The band's subsequent releases included Satan Is Real Again, (Or Feeling Good About Bad Thoughts) (1996), and Destroy All Human Life (1999). Their live shows were known for their unpredictable nature, blending performance art with unprofessionalism.
