21st Century Schizoid Band, a King Crimson alumnus group formed in 2002. The band featured Mel Collins on saxophones, flute, and keyboards, Michael Giles on drums, Peter Giles on bass, Ian McDonald on alto saxophone, flute, and keyboards, and Jakko Jakszyk on guitar and vocals. Named after the song "21st Century Schizoid Man" from King Crimson's debut album In the Court of the Crimson King, the band released four albums during their active years, such as Official Bootleg Volume One (2002), Live in Japan (2003), Live in Italy (2003), and Pictures of a City - Live in New York (2006). Their live performances focused on compositions from King Crimson's first four albums, as well as other works from the band members' back catalogues. The group disbanded in 2004 due to logistical challenges, but left a notable mark with their live recordings and collaborations.
