Love Ends Disaster! were an English experimental indie rock band from Nottingham and Loughborough, England. Formed while members were at university in Loughborough and Nottingham, Love Ends Disaster! recorded their first demo using basic equipment in a Victorian meat warehouse. Their breakthrough came when they were signed by Denial Records, the label behind Bloc Party's early recordings. Their early works included two critically acclaimed EPs: Stories for the Dislocated (2005) and Faster, Faster (2006). They shared stages with notable acts such as These New Puritans, Youthmovies, Yo La Tengo, and Babyshambles. Love Ends Disaster! also performed at major festivals including Summer Sundae in 2008 and Splendour Festival in 2009. Their debut album City of Glass was released in 2010, featuring singles "Ladders" and "Suzanne", which gained significant airplay on BBC Radio 1 and XFM. The band played the Reading and Leeds Festival in August 2010 before disbanding in April 2012.
