Franklin Bruno, born on December 29, 1968, is an American singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey as a member of Nothing Painted Blue in 1986. His early releases included the cassette-only albums Suggestion Box (1990) and Etudes for Voice & Snackmaster (1993). Bruno's career saw notable collaborations, including work on The Mountain Goats' albums Tallahassee (2002) and The Sunset Tree (2005), as well as recordings with frontman John Darnielle under the name The Extra Lens. Other notable albums include A Bedroom Community (1995), Kiss Without Makeup (2000), and Local Currency (2009).
