Playback, a South Korean girl group formed in 2015 under Clear Company, debuted with the digital single "Playback" on June 25, 2015 and initially consisted of members Lee Yun-ji, So Yu-jin and Hwang Woo-lim. Prior to their debut, Hwang Woo-lim gained attention through her appearance on Mnet’s I Can See Your Voice, performing Ariana Grande's "Problem". Three months after their debut, Playback released the single album I Wonder featuring Eric Nam. In 2017, Ma Eun-jin joined the group and they announced plans to participate in YG’s survival show Mix Nine. However, the group faced significant changes in 2019 when So Yu-jin left to pursue acting under FN Entertainment. Lee Ha-young followed suit, signing with O& Entertainment in June 2020, and Hwang Woo-lim signed with LeanBranding in May 2021.
