Suck was a South African hard rock band active between 1970 and 1971. The group's lineup included singer and flutist Andrew Ioannides, guitarist Stephen Gilroy, bassist Louis Forer, and drummer Saverio Grande. Part of the first wave of South African hard rock known as "The Big Heavies," the band released the single “Aimless Lady” backed with “The Whip” in 1971. Their sole studio album, Time to Suck (1971), was recorded during their eight-month career and was later released in the United States in 2009. The group was among the earliest bands to cover Black Sabbath, contributing a cover of “War Pigs” to the compilation Rock Today With the Big Heavies! (1972). In 2007, they were featured in Classic Rock magazine as "acid punk metal" pioneers.
