Second Skin is an American gothic rock ensemble formed in 1991 in Seattle. The group was established by singer-songwriter Arron. Its sound combined elements of punk aggression with darkwave and deathrock. The ensemble released its debut EP, The Scourging and the Crowning, in 1991. The band released the recording “Liberata Me” in 2004, which served as the inspiration for the film Liberata Me. The film received the best short subject award at the New York Film Festival. Second Skin collaborated with musicians including Rozz Williams and Gary Numan and performed with groups such as The Mission UK, The Misfits, and Killing Joke. Its discography included the studio recordings Hymns for the Hollow (1993), Choir Invisible (2000), Black Eyed Angel (2005), and Illa Exuro in Silentium (2007). The group produced the first darkwave 3D music video for the track “Six Ways From Sunday”.
