Billy Childish, born Steven John Hamper on December 1, 1959, in Chatham, Kent, England, is a prolific artist known for his work as a singer, guitarist, painter, author, poet, photographer, and filmmaker. His early musical endeavors began with the formation of The Milkshakes in the late 1970s, marking the start of his extensive career in garage rock and punk music. Their albums include Milkshakes IV: The Men with the Golden Guitars (1983) and Nothing Can Stop These Men (1984). Childish's prolific output includes over 100 albums across various genres. Throughout his career, Childish has collaborated with numerous artists and bands, including The Headcoats and the Musicians of the British Empire.
