Max Pie is a Belgian progressive metal ensemble formed in 2005 in Tubize. The group was established by Michael Probst and Xavier under the original name MAXPY. Tony Carlino joined as vocalist in 2005 and the band transitioned to original compositions in 2009. The group released its debut studio recording, Initial Process, in 2011 through Ultimhate Records. Sylvain Godenne joined on drums in 2012. The ensemble toured with Jon Oliva's Pain and released its second album, Eight Pieces - One World, in 2013 on Mausoleum Records. The band performed at festivals including Tribute to the Titans Fest and the Power Prog and Metal Festival. Its tracks were broadcast on the Classic 21 radio program Hell's Bells. Max Pie released the studio recording Odd Memories in 2015, which was mixed by Simone Mularoni. The lineup later included Thibaut Basely and Lucas Boudina.
