Nora Cabaltera Villamayor, known professionally as Nora Aunor, was born on May 21, 1953, in Iriga, Camarines Sur, Philippines. She was a Filipino actress, producer, and singer who began her career as a singer after winning the local talent search Tawag ng Tanghalan in 1967 with "Moonlight Becomes You". Aunor's early music releases included singles like "There's Just Forever" and "No Return, No Exchange". Her acting debut came in 1967 with the film All Over the World, marking the start of a prolific career that spanned over five decades. Throughout her career, she released notable albums such as Handog (1979). Aunor's contributions to both music and film earned her numerous accolades, including the National Artist of the Philippines for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. She passed away on April 16, 2025.
