Idle Cure was an arena rock band formed in Long Beach, California. They released their self-titled debut album in 1986 on Frontline Records. Their sound was compared to Def Leppard's Pyromania, and they targeted a youthful audience with overtly evangelical religious lyrics. Idle Cure followed up with Tough Love (1988), 2nd Avenue (1990), Inside Out (1991), and Eclipse (1994). Their first four albums were later reissued as compilations by KMG Records, including Idle Cure/2nd Avenue (1998) and Tough Love/Inside Out (2000). The band's lineup included Mark Ambrose on guitar, keyboards, and vocals; Pete Lomakin on keyboards and vocals; Steve Shannon on lead vocals and bass. Notable former members include Glenn Pearce on guitar and Clark Edmond on drums.
