Serge Blenner is a French composer of electronic and instrumental music who was born in 1955 in Mülhausen. He studied composition and harmony at the Conservatory of Mülhausen before moving to Germany in 1975. He began experimenting with electronic music and presented his first works in Munich and Hamburg during a series of live concerts in 1978. Blenner established his studio Esthématique in Hamburg in 1979. His early recordings were released by the label Sky starting in 1980, including the albums La Vogue (1980) and Magazin Frivole (1981). In 1982, he participated in the Ars Electronica festival and released the album Fracture Interne (1982). His music style is a blend of elements from ambient, lounge, and new age music. Blenner’s album Babylone (1991) reached Number 1 in the alternative charts in Finland. His album Equateur (1988) reached Number 1 in the New Sounds Charts in Italy. Other recordings include the albums Amour (1997), Ars Oratoria (1999), Miroir de Soi (2004), and Musique de Chambre (2008). In 1999, he founded the label MdeC Editions.
