Bituin Escalante, born April 23, 1977, in Manila, Philippines, is a Filipino singer, actress, and host. She began her career in the theatrical scene in 1996 and gained initial recognition through her participation in the 2000 Metropop Song Festival with "Paano Na", winning second prize. Her notable achievements include winning the ALIW Awards for Most Promising Female Artist in 2001 and the Awit Awards for Song of the Year and Best Performance by a Female Artist in 2003. Her breakthrough came with the song "Kung Ako Na Lang Sana", which won the grand prize at the 2002 ABS-CBN Himig Handog Music Love Song Festival and earned her a platinum award for the album.
