Ravencult, a Greek metal band from Athens, was formed in 2001. The group released their debut demo Despise The Blindfold in 2002 and followed it with another demo titled Cosmic Chaos in 2003. Their first EP, Armageddon Rising, was published by Aenaon Music in 2004. Ravencult's debut album, Temples Of Torment, was released in 2007, followed by their second album, Morbid Blood, in 2011. The band gained significant live experience during this period, including an appearance at the Inferno Metal Festival Norway in 2007 and a European tour with Rotting Christ and Krisiun in June 2008. In 2012, Ravencult released a split album with Omega featuring the new song "Deifier Of Necromancy" and a cover of Hellhammer's "Massacra". The band later signed with Metal Blade Records and released their third album, Force Of Profanation, in 2016.
