Honeycut, a San Francisco-based band formed in 2003, consisted of Bart Davenport (voice), RV Salters (keys and samples), and Tony Sevener (beats, MPC drum machine). The group became part of the Quannum Projects collective. Honeycut's sound blended rock, indie-pop, soul, and funk, showcasing a rich musical texture despite being a three-man band. Their debut album, The Day I Turned to Glass, was released in 2006 and earned them the 17th annual SF Weekly music award for Best Soul/Funk Band. In 2007, a cut-down version of their song "Exodus Honey" was featured in a commercial and the welcome video for Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard. The band released Comedians in 2011.
