Buzz Dees is a Berlin rock band founded in Berlin-Pankow in 2009. The project began when Knorkator guitarist Sebastian Baur, known as Buzz Dee, developed new material with Bell, Book & Candle guitarist Holger Jagsch. Bassist Steffen Holly and drummer Reiner Morgenroth, formerly of In Extremo, later joined the lineup. Originally called Buzz Dee’s Baurn, the group shortened its name to avoid associations with the medieval rock scene. Their debut album, Mitkomm, was released independently on Sholly Records in March 2011, followed by their first headlining tour in early 2012. Their music blends retro rock, blues, alternative country, and hard rock with electronic and pop influences, which they describe as “Rumpelrock.” Their second album, Icke, followed in 2013.
