Aavikko is a Finnish synth music band formed in Siilinjärvi in 1995. They are known for their campy, "East European" style and plastic-sounding synthesizer themes. Their distinctive sound, which they termed "muysic", combines elements of mysticism and music, with the motto "We play - you dance!". Their early releases included the EP Aavikko (1996) and the album Derek! (1997). Notable songs like "Viitostie" (2000) showcase their Kraftwerk-inspired influences. Their discography includes albums such as Multi Muysic (2000), History of Muysic (2003), and Novo Atlantis (2009). They also collaborated with artists like Felix Kubin and Mono Pause, releasing EPs in 2001 and 2002 respectively. The lineup included Tomi Kosonen on keyboards and saxophone, Tomi Leppänen on drums and electric percussion, Paul Staufenbiel on keyboards, and Antti Koivumäki on electric organ.
