Myrkskog, a Norwegian metal band formed in 1993 by Thor Anders "Destructhor" Myhren, Kenneth "Master V" Lindberg, and Lars Petter. The trio began their musical journey with early lineup changes, including the departure of Petter and his replacement by Bjørn Thomas. In May 1995, they released their first demo, Ode til Norge. The band's lineup evolved further with the addition of Eek from Funeral and Odium, as well as Tony "Sechtdaemon" Ingebrigtsen, whose aggressive style influenced Myrkskog’s musical direction. Their first studio album, Deathmachine, was released in 2000 under Candlelight Records, after which they embarked on a European tour. The band's second album, Superior Massacre, was released in 2002. Throughout their career, Myrkskog was known for their fast-paced and aggressive death metal style, often compared to bands like Immortal and Emperor.
