Crionics, a Polish blackened death metal band from Kraków, was formed in 1997 by vocalist Michał "Waran" Skotniczny, guitarist Dariusz Styczeń, bassist Markus "Marcotic" Kopa, and drummer Maciej "Carol" Zięba. Their first official release, Demo '98, featured a cover of Emperor’s "I am the Black Wizards". In 2000, keyboardist Wacław "Vac-V" Borowiec joined, and the band released the EP Beyond the Blazing Horizon. Their debut album, Human Error: Ways to Self Destruction, was released in 2002 through Empire Records. Crionics then signed with Candlelight Records, releasing their second album, Armageddon's Evolution, in 2004. The band continued to tour Europe and Russia, releasing their third album, Neuthrone, in 2007. Crionics became inactive in 2012.
