Vancouver based R&B/Hip-Hop Artist Cartié began to show an interest for music at an early age learning to play Piano at 6 years old and the Guitar at age 12. Despite becoming a proficient multi-instrumentalist before reaching his teen years, it wasn’t until the age of 15 that Cartié picked up a microphone and started to hone his skills as a vocalist. Eventually fusing his passion for performing vocally with his love for the culture & genres of R&B & Hip-Hop, he soon gravitated towards writing his own music influenced by the likes of Bryson Tiller, Chris Brown, & Tory Lanez just to name a few.
Upon deciding to pursue music as a career in 2016, Cartié spent 3 years songwriting as well as producing briefly before releasing his debut single “Late Night” in October of 2020. Cartié has since released a collective of tracks within the genres of R&B/Hip-Hop spanning from soulful serenades to flat out freestyle rap. Included in his string of early releases is his most streamed single to date “Hold On” which has amassed over 85,000 streams across platforms and counting, as well as the Synth induced Ballad “Need You” backed by production from Multi-Platinum producer and fellow Vancouver native Dystinkt Beats.
In the coming years Cartié aims to continue to define himself as one of the most versatile artists emerging from the developing Vancouver music scene through the release of his upcoming projects including visuals for some of his earlier work as well as a self-titled mixtape.
