Transit Kings is a British electronica band from London. Formed in 2001 by Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty, the group was later joined by Guy Pratt and Dom Beken. Early recording sessions occurred at Townhouse Studios. The band released the single “Boom Bang Bombay” (2003) under the name Custerd. Following Cauty's departure in 2004, the group performed at the Big Chill Festival and released the EP Token (2005). Their debut album, Living in a Giant Candle Winking at God (2006), featured guest appearances by Johnny Marr and Simon Day.
