Kaushiki Chakraborty, born October 24, 1980, in Kolkata, India, is an Indian classical vocalist of the Patiala gharana, trained in both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions. She began public singing at age 7, performing a tarana at the Calcutta Rowing Club, and later studied under Jnan Prakash Ghosh and at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, graduating in 2004. Her early recordings include her solo debut Footsteps (1998) and A Journey Begins (2002), while her 2003 London recital was issued as the album Pure. Subsequent album releases include Rageshri (2007) and Manomay (2011). Chakraborty performed at venues such as the Dover Lane Music Conference, NCPA, and Carnegie Hall, and hosted the television talk show Gaan-Golpo ar Gaan. She received the BBC Radio 3 World Music Award in 2005, the Sangeet Natak Akademi's Ustad Bismillah Khan Puraskar in 2010, and the Aditya Birla Kalakiran Puraskar in 2013.
