Blowzabella are an English folk band from London formed in 1978. The ensemble was founded by Bill O'Toole, Jon Swayne, Chris Gunstone, Dave Armitage, and Juan Wijngaard. They achieved professional recognition for their eponymous debut studio recording Blowzabella (1982), which reached Number 4 on the Melody Maker folk album charts. Their recording career includes the studio recordings In Colour (1983), Bobbityshooty (1984), and The Blowzabella Wall of Sound (1986). The lineup has included members such as Andy Cutting, Jo Freya, Paul James, Barnaby Stradling, and Benoit Michaud. Their discography includes the studio recordings Pingha Frenzy (1987), Vanilla (1990), Octomento (2007), and Tilham (2022).
