Bilge Pump were an English rock band from Leeds that formed in 1994. The ensemble consisted of the vocalist and guitarist Joe O'Sullivan, the vocalist and bassist Emlyn Jones, and the drummer Neil Turpin and are famous for their post-punk style with avant-garde influences and for being described by the NME as "unlistenable guff". They achieved professional recognition in the late 1990s and recorded several sessions for the BBC Radio 1 broadcaster John Peel. The group performed alongside acts including Lightning Bolt and The Mars Volta and were ranked number 95 on the list for the 2009 ATP vs The Fans festival. Their discography includes the studio recordings Let Me Breathe (2002), Rupert the Sky (2008), and We Love You (2019). They also released the EP The Fucking Cunts Still Treat Us Like Pricks (2010). The band entered an indefinite break in 2021, after which O'Sullivan and Turpin formed the ensemble Objections.
