Dave Kusworth, born in 1960 in Birmingham, England, was a British indie rock musician, guitarist, singer, and songwriter. At the age of 16, he formed his first band, TV Eye. Throughout his career, Kusworth played with several notable bands including The Hawks, Dogs D’Amour, Jacobites, Dave Kusworth & The Bounty Hunters, Dave Kusworth & the Tenderhooks, The Dave Kusworth Group, and Dave Kusworth & Los Tupper. His most successful period was his collaboration with Nikki Sudden in the band Jacobites, particularly with the album Robespierre’s Velvet Basement (1985). This album was considered a highlight in his discography. He released numerous albums and singles, including the single "Teenage Christmas" (1998), "The Otter Song / Apartment To Compartment" (2011), and the solo album The Bounty Hunters (1987). He passed away on September 19, 2020.
