Alessandra Leão, born on January 27, 1979, in Recife, Brazil, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, percussionist and producer of popular music. Her career began with the release of Brinquedo de Tambor in 2006, marking her debut as a singer and percussionist. Leão's subsequent albums include Folia de Santo (2008) and Dois Cordões (2009).
