Black NASA is an American stoner rock band from Long Branch, New Jersey, formed in the early 2000s by bassist and vocalist Chris Kosnik alongside guitarist Duane Hutter and drummer Corey Stubblefield. Created while Kosnik's other band, The Atomic Bitchwax, was on hiatus, the trio developed a heavy, 1970s-inspired sound. They released their self-titled debut album in 2002 on Tee Pee Records, followed by Deuce in 2004 through MeteorCity. After touring in support of Deuce, the band became inactive. Hutter and Stubblefield later began playing with 40 Pound Hound in 2014. In 2022, they contributed their version of Bachman Turner Overdrive's "I Don't Have to Hide" to the compilation album Sucking the 70's.
