Emerging from Tunisia as a child prodigy in the early 20's, Bacem Anas Romdhani is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after artists of his generation. He was scouted by the World Philharmonic Orchestra to represent Tunisia, Africa & the Arab World back in 2006 as part of the 'Five Children of the World' in Paris. He won the Vatelot-Rampal International Violin Competition (2007) before turning 12. His early musical journey is chronicled in his Multi-Award winning documentary 'Once Upon Our Time' (2010) produced by Tunisian film maker Hichem Ben Ammar. Bacem Anas received a personal Honours award from the President of the Tunisian Republic.
Bacem Anas is dedicating his music making to introduce his background music to the Western culture, in an attempt to help bond the arts from both worlds. He is a concert violinist performing with the greatest orchestras and top conductors around the world. He is Artist-in-Residence of the Tunisian Symphony Orchestra. His repertoire includes concertos for violin and orchestra, virtuoso and solo violin pieces, and sonatas for violin and piano.
