O sol há de brilhar mais uma vez...
João Parahyba began his career in 1968 at the Jogral bar, accompanying artists such as Paulo Vanzolini, Cartola and Clementina de Jesus. Right there was born the Trio Mocotó. Over the years he has built his career as a percussionist playing with Ivan Lins, Sivuca, Dori Caymmi, Michel Legrand, and Dizzy Gillespie, among others. He invented a unique mix of drums and percussion with his timba. He partnered with the late Serbian producer Suba (Mitar Subotic), with whom he developed works such as acoustic tone reprocessing and the use of loops and samples. Creations present in albums like São Paulo Confessions, by Suba, and Tanto Tempo by Bebel Gilberto.
