Ungdomskulen, a band from Bergen, Norway, consisting of guitarist and vocalist Kristian Jan Erik Stockhaus, bassist Frode Flatland, and drummer Øyvind Solheim. The group initially released several singles and EPs, including "What It Takes" and "Surf's Up", before gaining significant attention with their debut album Cry-Baby in 2007. This album received notable reviews, including a 7.7 rating from Pitchfork and a five out of six from Adresseavisen in Norway. The band's sound was compared to various genres, including psychedelia, jazz, punk, grunge, disco, and funk, with critics noting influences from bands like The Minutemen, Fugazi, and The Jesus Lizard. Following Cry-Baby, they released several more albums, including Bisexual in 2009, Secrecy in 2012, and Gold Rush in 2018.
