Bivouac is an English alternative rock band from Derby consisting of Paul Yeadon, Granville Marsden, Antony Hodgkinson, and Keith York. The group formed in 1990, and signed to the Elemental label to release their debut EP ABC (1992) followed by the single “Slack” (1992). During the early 1990s, they toured with Fugazi and The Jesus Lizard. Bivouac released the debut album Tuber (1993) before York replaced Hodgkinson on drums. The band signed with Geffen and released the album Full Size Boy (1995) which featured the singles “Thinking” (1995) and “Monkey Sanctuary” (1995). After the group disbanded in 1996, Yeadon formed the band The Wireless Stores and York played with Pitchshifter. Hodgkinson performed as a dancer for Nirvana. Marsden uploaded unreleased demos to YouTube from the period before the split. Bivouac reunited in 2016 for live performances and released the single “Deep Blue Sea Surround” (2016).
