Entremares, a Chilean folk group from Talcahuano, has been active since 2012. The band performs a blend of cueca, folklore, and romantic folk-pop, with one of its motivations being to encourage greater appreciation of cueca among Chileans. The group rose to prominence with the song "A tu lado," written by Pedro Vásquez and released in 2018. That same year, Entremares issued three albums: La vida en versos, Vuelve a empezar, and El amor en 48 compases, establishing themselves as one of the leading contemporary cueca groups in Chile. Their music focuses on romance and everyday experiences while remaining rooted in traditional Chilean folk styles. Founded by musicians who had previously participated in a cueca ensemble, Entremares adopted a name inspired by their coastal hometown of Talcahuano. The band has also become known for its live performances, including a well-received appearance at the Festival del Huaso de Olmué in 2023, where the audience called for an encore.
