The Crucifucks were an American punk rock band from Lansing formed in 1981. They achieved professional recognition for political agitation and provocative lyrics led by vocalist Doc Corbin Dart. Their debut studio album, The Crucifucks (1985), was released on Alternative Tentacles. They followed this with the studio recording Wisconsin (1987). Between these releases and the studio recording L.D. Eye (1996), Dart issued the solo recordings Patricia (1990) and Black Tuesday (1991). The ensemble faced legal challenges following the release of the compilation Our Will Be Done (1992), when a photograph on the recording led to a lawsuit that was dismissed. After a period of inactivity, Dart adopted the moniker “26” and released the studio recording The Messiah (2004). The ensemble performed at the Alternative Tentacles twentieth anniversary party in 1998.
