Coronatus, a Symphonic metal band from Ludwigsburg, Germany, was founded in 1999 by Georgios Grigoriadis and Mats Kurth. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their first single, "Von Engeln nur", in 2002, followed by concerts across Germany. In 2004, after several lineup changes, Coronatus reformed under Mats Kurth’s leadership and added Carmen R. Schäfer and Verena Schock as lead singers. The band's debut album, Lux Noctis, was released in 2007 with Massacre Records. Throughout the years, Coronatus continued to evolve, releasing albums such as Porta Obscura (2008), Fabula Magna (2009), and Terra Incognita (2011). Notable collaborations included performances at festivals like Gothica V and a concert in Budapest alongside Within Temptation. The band's lineup underwent several changes, with key members including Ada Flechtner, Lisa Lasch, and Natalia Kempin contributing to their distinctive sound. Coronatus released their album Raben im Herz in 2015, showcasing a more orchestral style.
